Mantero:
His full name is Paolo Mantero and he is
born in Genova, Italy the 8 of June 1975.
Paolo played electric guitar in some heavy metal bands when he was younger
and has also been (and still is!) a professional illustrator.
But then, in the summer of 1998, he listened to the great hit from Eiffel65,
“Blue”. After that he decided to produce Dance-music. After
a couple of unsuccessful tracks, he sends in a demo to Blisscorporation.
This track was “De Musica Tonante”. At blissco they liked
this track and a few weeks later it was released under the artist name
“Parcivalia”. Unfortunately this 12” didn’t have
any success in Italy. But 2 years later Gabry Ponte got that brilliant
idea to include “De Musica Tonante” on his first solo-album
and on the B-side of the single “Geordie Remix” in the end
of 2002. This time “De Musica Tonante” was a hit and sold
over 10000 copies. Another remix of “De Musica Tonante” came
out in summer 2003 on the b-side of the other Gabry Ponte single “Man
In The Moon”.
In the beginning of 2003 Paolo had send in a demo to Time Records. There
Rossano Prini (the one part of DJRoss) sat Paolo in contact to the two
guys Ranucci Fabio and Pelusi Nazario (the group Promiseland) and in the
fall of 2003 Promiseland feat. Mantero – Batticoure came out.
In the start of 2004 Paolo is out with his first solo-single “Stella”.
This thank to Andrea Capaldi from the new label Digital Noise.
After “Stella”, Paolo is involved in some other projects,
such as the single “Voulez Vous Danser” from Promiseland.
In fall 2004 he has released his new single “Ginevra” under
the artist-name Camelot.
