DJRoss:

DJRoss isn’t just one person but in fact two. Rossano Prini (A&R at the record label SPY) and no other than Paolo Sandrini, Gigi D’agostino’s former co-producer. The vocal on all their productions are delivered by Steven Maverick, a great Italian singer. The DJRoss project was started in 2002 by the single “Dreamland” which didn’t just was a huge success in Italy but also in most of Europe. After “Dreamland” followed their 2nd single “Emotion” in winter 2002 which gained pretty good chart-results in Italy. “Emotion” also got a German release which didn’t in any get as much success as “Dreamland”.
In the summer of 2003 DJRoss’ 3rd single “Smile” came out, which must be said as a more worthy successor to “Dreamland” than “Emotion” was.
The sound of DJRoss is in some ways very equal to the sound of Gigi D’Agostino from 2000/2001 because Sandrini back then had big influence on Gigi’s sound. After “Smile” followed “Lupin” which was just “Smile” with Italian vocals about a cartoon called Lupin.
In the spring of 2004 DJRoss released their newest single “Floating In Love”. A beautiful ballade with a very powerful beat.
