Datura:

The group Datura was founded in 1991, when the two musicians and DJs Ciro Pagano & Stefano Mazzavillani meet. Their first single was called “Nu Style” and came out in the summer of 1991. up through the 90s Datura released big hits such as “Yerba Del Diablo” and “Eternity”. Both those tracks sounded more like Trance/techno productions.
In 1995 the group was signed by the big Italian label, Time Records.
In the last part of the 90s there were many releases from Datura, but all of them were more trance-productions then italo-productions.
2002 was the year where Datura got their 2. Break through. It was with the single “Will Be One” which was extremely huge in Italy. The genre was no longer trance, but typical italodance. Almost at the same time Datura started the project Unabomber together with DJ Frederik. After “Will Be One” they released the single “Il Sueno” which didn’t in any way get the same success.
In 2003 Datura switched from Time records to the other big italian label; Saifam Group. The same year Datura was the guys behind the project “State Of The Heart” with the track “Another World”.
The newest single from the project Unabomber “6 Etero 6 Gay” came in the start of 2004.
Later in 2004 Datura started to work together with Gigi D’Agostino on a track called “Summer Of Energy”. This track came out in September 2004 and is a track which clearly shows that Datura is some of the big guys on the Italian Dance scene!
